Who we are

Mission Statement: At Tiny Tykes Sports, we’re here to introduce toddlers to the world of sports in a fun, age-appropriate way. We empower parents to take the lead in their child’s first athletic experiences, while creating a strong, supportive community where young families can grow together and build lasting friendships—on and off the field.

Vision Statement:“TTS staff is dedicated to inspiring young children and their families to discover the joy of sports, build lifelong skills, and grow together as a supportive, healthy community. We envision a place where active play sparks confidence, teamwork, and wellness—laying the foundation for happy, healthy lives both on and off the field.”

  • We empower parents and children to grow together in a supportive and encouraging environment.

  • We prioritize safe, age-appropriate activities that nurture every child’s well-being.

  • We foster meaningful connections and friendships that extend beyond the sports field.

Meet Coach Preston

  • Founder of Tiny Tyke Sports

Hi, I’m Preston Jaurequi, founder and head coach at Tiny Tyke Sports. I’ve spent my life playing and coaching a variety of sports—baseball, basketball, football, and soccer—but lacrosse has always been my true passion. I played lacrosse through college at both the NCAA Division III and MCLA Division II levels, and I’ve carried that love for sports into every part of my career.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development from Cal State Fullerton and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with kids of all ages—as a youth and high school lacrosse coach, elementary PE coach, preschool teacher, and before-and-after school program leader. These experiences have deepened my belief in the importance of getting kids active early in life.

I started Tiny Tyke Sports to introduce children to sports in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way—while also strengthening the bond between parents and their kids. I believe that building these early positive experiences not only supports physical development but also brings families and communities together.

One of my biggest personal goals is to be part of the solution to the childhood obesity crisis in the U.S. By helping young kids fall in love with movement and play, we can get them outside, active, and excited about sports from the very beginning.

I can’t wait to meet you and your tiny athlete on the field!
